The Director of the TRUST Board, Emanuel Bajra, has spoken regarding the withdrawal of funds.
In this regard, Bajra responded that he is against this option.
“I am against these concessions of TRUST. This is because TRUST should be understood as a savings entity, not an investment one. It should not be that whenever we feel like it, we can go and take the money, because this affects not only the value of TRUST itself but also the future of every contributor in Kosovo. Therefore, I would not recommend it,” said Bajra in an interview with Klan Kosova.
It is worth noting that this issue has been a topic of discussion in the country.
In 2023, the Kosovo Assembly voted against allowing citizens to withdraw 30 percent of their funds from the Pension Trust.
In the session, 101 members of parliament were present, 97 of whom voted. Of those, 42 voted in favor, 55 voted against, and there were no abstentions.
As a result, the citizens of Kosovo will not be able to withdraw 30% of their pension savings.
