Divorce Rates Rise in Kosovo: Over 1,300 Couples End Marriages in First Ten Months of 2025

According to data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK), a total of 1,341 divorces were registered in Kosovo between January and October 2025, indicating a significant number of couples ending their marriages.

In October alone, there were 158 registered divorces, marking an 18.8% increase compared to September.

“Regarding divorces in Kosovo for October, there were 158 cases. Compared to September, this represents an 18.8% increase in the number of couples who ended their marriages,” the ASK report states.

The statistics highlight a trend of rising marital separations in Kosovo over the first ten months of 2025, reflecting changing social patterns and dynamics within families.
