The president of the Republika Srpska (RS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, has once again reacted to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s visit to Sarajevo. This time, Dodik claimed that Kurti’s visit “humiliated” the Republika Srpska. He also spread misinformation by stating that Serbs in Kosovo “are the most endangered people in Europe.” Such provocative statements were echoed by the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Stasha Kosharac.

The leader of the Serbian enclave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, known as the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said that Kurti’s visit to Sarajevo was an “open provocation, an insult to all Serbs,” and a confirmation that Sarajevo is being used as a platform for policies “that have nothing to do with peace, cooperation, or the respect of rights.”

“Albin Kurti’s visit to Sarajevo is neither a gesture of goodwill nor a contribution to regional stability. It is another attempt to delegitimize the Serbian people and humiliate the Republika Srpska,” Dodik wrote on the social media platform X.

He claimed that “the RS will not accept, nor remain silent in the face of such provocations, and will always defend the dignity of the Serbian people.”

“Kurti’s visit, the man responsible for the fact that Serbs in Kosovo ‘are the most endangered people in Europe,’ once again shows how instrumentalized Sarajevo is against Serbs and Serbia,” Dodik said, who is under U.S. sanctions.

According to Dodik, “while Kurti, who is responsible for numerous attacks on the ‘Serbian people’ and Orthodox holy sites, was welcomed with respect in Sarajevo, the elected president of the Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina is being judged because he does not respect laws that were not adopted with the will of the Serbian people but in the offices and kitchens of those who stand behind this provocation today.”

Dodik further stated, “It seems that someone is in a hurry to create chaos in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Stasha Kosharac also commented, saying that Bosnia and Herzegovina has not recognized Kosovo’s independence and “it will never happen.”

“Kurti is a bandit who organizes attacks against the ‘Serbian people’ and the Serbian Orthodox Church. And how can we welcome such a person here?” Kosharac said.
