The political parties certified by the Central Election Commission (CEC) will today at 11:00 AM draw their numbers for placement on the ballot for the February 9 elections.
This was confirmed by CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi.
“I hereby inform you that the draw for the ranking of political parties certified to participate in the Elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM,” Elezi announced.
According to Elezi, “The draw for the ranking of political parties on the ballot will be conducted in a way that ensures equal conditions for all political entities and full transparency.”
The draw for the ranking of political parties on the ballot precedes several important electoral activities, such as the approval of the ballot design and content.
After the CEC approves the election ballot, on January 9, the absentee voting process will begin for voters registered to vote by mail outside Kosovo. On January 11, political parties will officially begin their election campaigns.
