At least 27 people have been killed and 42 others injured, including four children, following a Russian drone attack that caused a fire and powerful explosions at a warehouse in the village of Myla, in the Kyiv region.
According to local authorities, 381 people were evacuated from the area, while the fire also spread to several residential buildings.
The Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, said the attack caused a large-scale fire accompanied by explosions.
“The attack caused a large-scale fire. The fire also spread to private residential buildings. Fires in five houses and one hotel facility have already been extinguished,” Tkachenko said.
Emergency and rescue teams continue to work at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has launched a preliminary investigation to determine whether there was negligence regarding the storage conditions of materials at the warehouse.
The investigation will also examine the legality of the placement and storage of explosive materials, the required permits, and the responsibility of officials who made the relevant decisions.

Attacks Also Reported in Kherson and Kyiv
Another person was killed on Saturday in a Russian drone attack in Kherson, in southern Ukraine. A 44-year-old man was also injured by the blast and sustained wounds from shrapnel.
Two other people were injured in an attack in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia had launched 267 drones, one Oniks anti-ship missile and one Iskander ballistic missile since 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, air defenses had shot down or neutralized 233 of the drones by Saturday morning.
Long-range attacks between Russia and Ukraine have intensified in recent months, particularly targeting logistical and energy infrastructure.
