Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko met in Belgrade with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić, during which the latter thanked him “for the continuous support of the Russian Federation towards Serbia regarding Kosovo.”
Gorshki – the deputy of the world’s most currently non-grata diplomat, Sergei Lavrov – met with the highest state officials of Serbia today.
“The Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Đurić, spoke today in Belgrade with the Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Grushko, and on that occasion thanked Russia for its continuous support on the issue of Kosovo as well as on other state and national matters important to Serbia,” said the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
“Đurić noted that there is traditional friendship and understanding between Serbia and Russia and their peoples, and this is reflected in Serbia’s foreign policy stances, which, although strategically committed to full EU membership, strives to maintain and improve ties with friends.”
