The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has announced the allocation of €640,000 for the construction of a Shelter Center for Women Victims of Violence in northern Kosovo.

In a statement to Tëvë1 from the North, Prime Minister Kurti explained that the center will include three rooms designated for women without children, as well as three additional rooms for women accompanied by their children.

“This investment, which amounts to €640,000 and is funded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will provide three rooms for accommodating women without children and three others for those with children. There will also be a separate room to ensure they can live a dignified life, despite the violence they may have experienced — not only psychological but also physical. The state is committed to their protection and well-being,” Kurti stated for Tëvë1.
