Earthquake in Turkey, Here’s the Magnitude

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded this Friday at 16:51 in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Gulf of Antalya, Turkish media report.

According to information from Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at a depth of seven kilometers.

The governor of the Alanya district, Fatih Urkmezer, stated that the earthquake was felt in the central part of this area and confirmed that expert teams are on the ground investigating the incident.

“There is no negative news at this moment,” said Urkmezer, urging citizens not to panic.
