Earthquake Strikes Kosova, Footage Captures Moment in Dragash

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit Kosova in the early hours of Thursday morning, with tremors felt across several regions of the country and neighboring areas.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake occurred at 01:46 local time, with its epicenter located 16 kilometers southwest of Prizren. The tremor had a depth of 16 kilometers.

The shaking was felt in multiple cities throughout Kosova, as well as in parts of North Macedonia.

Just a few hours later, at 03:59, a second quake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale struck the region, with its epicenter 17 kilometers southwest of Prizren, near Dragash. The depth of this earthquake was recorded at 7 kilometers.

Security cameras in Dragash captured the moment the ground trembled, and the footage was later shared on social media platforms, showing the intensity of the tremors.

While there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties, authorities are monitoring the situation closely.

This earthquake had a depth of 11 kilometers.
