The Municipal Election Commissions (MECs) across Kosovo are set to receive election materials on Saturday, ahead of the local election runoffs taking place on Sunday.
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), the distribution process will begin at 08:00, ensuring that all 18 municipalities where the second round of voting is held will have the necessary materials one day before election day.
Once received, the MECs will distribute the materials to their respective polling centers, coordinating the logistics to ensure a smooth voting process.
The runoff elections for mayors will take place in the following municipalities: Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klinë, Fushë-Kosovë, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Pejë, Prishtina, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë, and Kllokot.
In total, more than 1,316,000 citizens are eligible to vote in Sunday’s runoffs.
