The recount of polling stations in Kosovo is nearing completion and is expected to conclude today, according to Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Elezi stated that the final day of recounting is taking place at the Counting and Results Center for polling stations previously selected by the CEC.

“Today marks the last day of the recount for polling stations determined earlier by the CEC. Fewer than 60 polling stations remain to be recounted, located in three municipalities: Prishtina, Suharekë, and Shtërpcë,” Elezi told EO.

He emphasized that the process is expected to be completed within the day. Regarding the final election results, the CEC will proceed according to legal procedures.

“The recount process will be finalized today. Following this, the Central Election Commission will schedule the next session, during which the final election results will be officially announced. We will inform the public in due course,” Elezi added.

Once the recount is complete, the CEC is expected to provide further updates to the public on the steps leading to the official certification of the election results.
