Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, has confirmed that he has activated the Starlink satellite service for Iranian citizens, following the Islamic regime’s restriction of internet access after Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Through a social media post, Musk briefly wrote: “Signal is on,” confirming the operation of the satellite network in Iran.
Starlink, a SpaceX project, offers high-speed, low-latency internet, especially in areas where access to traditional internet is limited or interrupted. This action is seen as an effort to help Iranian citizens maintain connection with the world during a tense period with severe information restrictions.
