Earlier, media reported a powerful explosion in the northern part of the country, specifically in Zveçan.
A hand grenade was thrown near a gas station, damaging several vehicles and causing additional damage to nearby structures.
Kosovo Police units immediately launched an investigation, cordoning off the area and increasing their presence in that part of the town.
The deputy police director for the northern region, Veton Elshani, also commented on the incident.
“Around midnight, near the gas station in the center of Zveçan, an explosion occurred.
There were no injuries from the explosion, but there was material damage to the gas station structure and several nearby vehicles.
We cannot yet confirm the cause of the explosion, and relevant units are on the scene,” Elshani reported.
