The Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the Northern region, in a meeting with the citizens of North Mitrovica that began just a few minutes ago at the Municipality building, stated that there are many known problems in the Northern part.
Elshani also mentioned the issue of the Ibër Bridge, saying that as the Kosovo Police, they ask themselves why the bridge is closed, and he told those present that it would be good if they could explain why they believe the bridge should remain closed.
The number two of the Kosovo Police for the Northern region stated that regarding the aspect of security, there is no reason for the Ibër Bridge to remain closed, as the Kosovo Police would have found different ways to ensure its security.
“We ask ourselves as the Kosovo Police why this bridge is closed, it would be good to hear from you why this bridge should remain closed, because from a security perspective, there is no reason. If it is to ensure security, we would have found different ways to secure it,” Elshani said, as reported.
He added that considering the practical construction of the road, the bridge, and the location, they do not understand why the Ibër Bridge should remain closed.
“We don’t understand why,” Elshani stated.
