Erdogan Reaffirms Türkiye’s Support for the United Arab Emirates Amid Regional Tensions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today reaffirmed Ankara’s full support for the sovereignty and security of the United Arab Emirates during a phone conversation with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan amid ongoing regional tensions.

Erdoğan also expressed wishes for a swift recovery from the damage caused by the regional conflict, while the two leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments, according to Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications, as reported by Anadolu Agency.

During the conversation, Erdoğan stated that Türkiye places importance on strengthening cooperation with the UAE in several sectors, particularly trade, energy, and security.

Referring to the Iran–United States conflict, Erdoğan described developments in the region as painful and said Türkiye is continuing diplomatic contacts with relevant countries to help achieve a diplomatic solution between Washington and Tehran.

He also emphasized the need for greater dialogue and cooperation to address regional security challenges.
