Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose country played a role in the negotiation process, has expressed satisfaction over the ceasefire agreement reached between Hamas and Israel.

In a statement posted on X, Erdogan thanked former U.S. President Donald Trump for “demonstrating the necessary political will”, and also extended his appreciation to Qatar and Egypt for facilitating the deal.

Erdogan noted that Turkey will closely monitor the full implementation of the agreement and continue contributing to the peace process.

“I extend my heartfelt greetings to my Palestinian brothers and sisters who have endured indescribable suffering for two years,” Erdogan said.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that delivering humanitarian aid to the region remains a top priority, highlighting the urgent need to begin Gaza’s reconstruction.
