The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) held its latest meeting, approving several requests for licensing and authorizations in the fields of electricity supply, production, and self-consumption.

New Supply Licenses

Three companies have been granted licenses to supply electricity in Kosovo:

  • Norwegian PX Kosovë SH.P.K.
  • BE Power SH.P.K.
  • Energy for Change L.L.C.

ERO Board member, Ymeridin Misini, explained that the companies met all legal requirements:

“The applications were completed in line with regulations, supported with all necessary evidence, and evaluated according to legislation for a five-year period, similar to other licenses.”

New Production License

The board also approved a 25-year production license for Energy Development Group Kosova L.L.C.

  • The project was deemed complete, with all legal conditions met and documentation submitted by the respective municipality.
  • The license remains valid as long as the equipment is operational.

Authorization for Solar Power Plant

ERO issued construction authorization to Lindja Solar L.L.C. for a 100 MW solar park in Kramovik and Petkoviq, Rahovec.

The project includes:

  • A central station,
  • Administrative and technical facilities,
  • An internal substation within the solar park.

ERO Board Chairman, Ymer Fejzullahu, stressed its importance:

“This is one of the first projects to pass through competitive procedures, a requirement of the EU. We hope this will not be the last, as the energy sector urgently needs additional capacity.”

Other Authorizations

  • Qazim R. Gashi B.I. – Babimoc 1, 2, and 3 (Obiliq) – 4 MW capacity.
  • EBE Energy SH.P.K. – new generation authorization.
