The Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) held a meeting today, making several key decisions, including designating the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) as the Last Resort Supplier for a six-month period.
“On 12.06.2025, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office held its seventh (VII) session for 2025. In this session, the Board designated the legal entity KEK – as the Last Resort Supplier for a six (6) month period, from August 31, 2025, to January 31, 2026,” stated ERO’s announcement.
This decision follows the implementation of the new regulation, effective June 1, which requires businesses to enter the free energy market. If a company fails to find a supplier in the free market, it automatically transitions to the Last Resort Supplier, which will now be KEK.
