The Basic Court in Pristina has officially scheduled the initial hearing in the case against Aleksandar Vlajić, who is charged with the criminal offense of espionage. The hearing will be held on June 5, 2025, at 09:30, according to court spokesperson Mirlinda Gashi, who confirmed the news for KALLXO.com.

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo has indicted Vlajiq for “Espionage” and “Unauthorized possession and control of weapons.”

According to confidential sources, Vlajiq is one of the four individuals previously charged for the 2022 attack on the offices of the Municipal Election Commission (CEC) in North Mitrovica.

Details of the Indictment:

The Prosecution alleges that from an unspecified date until his arrest on June 26, 2024, Vlajiq operated as a resident agent, collecting and transmitting sensitive information and documents to the Serbian Intelligence and Security Agency (BIA), which posed a threat to Kosovo’s constitutional order and the lives of its officials and citizens.

“The defendant had established a network of ethnic Serb employees within international organizations in Kosovo,” the indictment states.
“He obtained intelligence reports linked to political and security developments, as well as information about ethnic Serbs whom he intended to present as collaborators of Kosovo’s security structures.”

Vlajiq is said to have transferred the data to a high-ranking BIA official, R.G., through both phone communications and physical meetings.

During a raid of his residence, police reportedly found and confiscated a Crvena Zastava firearm and a pepper spray canister, resulting in an additional charge of unauthorized weapon possession.

Prosecutorial Demands:

The special prosecutor has requested that the detention of Aleksandar Vlajiq be extended until the conclusion of the trial, urging the court to declare him guilty and order him to cover all legal expenses.

Background on Previous Accusations:

In connection with the 2022 attack on the CEC offices, the indictment details that four accused individuals used two hand grenades and two stun grenades during the assault. The stun grenades detonated, while one of the hand grenades failed to explode, thereby endangering the lives of CEC officials and police officers.

The defendants in that case — Milun Milenković (aka “Lune”), and former police officers Aleksandar Vlajić, Dejan Pantić, and Miomir Vakić — have pleaded not guilty.
