September 24, 2025 | Pristina – On the second anniversary of the Banjska terrorist attack, the EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, paid tribute at the grave of Afrim Bunjaku, the Kosovo Police sergeant who was killed during the assault.

The attack, led by Milan Radoičić and his armed group in Banjska, Zvečan, left Bunjaku dead, while officer Alban Rashiti was injured, along with another policeman.

Ambassador Orav emphasized that justice must prevail and that those responsible must face accountability. He urged the Serbian authorities to take concrete steps in apprehending and prosecuting those who remain in Serbia and to cooperate with Kosovo through established legal mechanisms.

“The perpetrators of this heinous attack must be brought to justice. The EU expects Serbian authorities to arrest and prosecute those within their jurisdiction and respond to Kosovo’s legal requests through the appropriate channels,” Orav stated.

The European Union reiterated its firm support for justice and accountability, stressing that impunity cannot be tolerated when it comes to acts of terrorism that threaten peace and stability in the region.
