The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, met with outgoing Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj, expressing appreciation for his contribution to judicial reform.
“Ambassador Orav had the honor to meet today with the outgoing Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj. Orav expressed his appreciation for Zogaj’s contribution to judicial reform, in line with Kosovo’s commitments to the Rule of Law, highlighting the need for the Council’s new leadership to continue working toward an independent, accountable, and efficient justice system,” the EU Office in Kosovo reported.
Orav also emphasized that the EU will continue supporting Kosovo in its judicial reform efforts.
“As Kosovo’s most trusted partner and largest financial aid provider, the EU will continue supporting judicial reform through new IPA funding (€15 million) and the Growth Plan,” the statement added.
