The European Union has stressed that dialogue remains the only viable path for both Kosovo and Serbia to achieve their aspirations of EU membership. EU spokesperson Anitta Hipper emphasized that the Union expects both parties to fully implement all past agreements.
“The European Union and its Member States expect the parties to fully implement all previous agreements. The road to EU membership for both parties passes through the dialogue facilitated by the EU,” Hipper said in an interview with RTV21.
Hipper also confirmed that the next meeting between the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia will take place on December 17, with both parties having confirmed their participation. She added that the implementation of the Kosovo-Serbia basic agreement will also be a topic of discussion during the upcoming talks.
“The next meeting of the chief negotiators will take place on December 17. The parties have confirmed their participation and will address a range of issues, including the implementation of the Agreement for the path toward normalization,” Hipper stated.
