European Defense Ministers are meeting in Brussels today to discuss the ongoing EU operations for training Ukrainian soldiers to defend their country against the Russian invasion.

Part of the discussions includes the plan to relocate some of the EU training operations within Ukraine.

Currently, training is being conducted in Germany and Poland.

The training mission started in November 2022, a few months after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to EU figures from May, over 52,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained.

The EU aims to train an additional 60,000 by the end of this summer, reports REL.
