The European Union’s Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, held a key meeting today with KFOR Commander Major General Enrico Barduani at KFOR’s headquarters in “Film City,” Pristina.

According to an official statement released by KFOR, the discussion focused on the latest security developments in Kosovo and KFOR’s continued support for the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

“General Barduani emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation with European institutions in Kosovo and international partners committed to regional stability,” the statement reads.
“The visit underscores NATO and the EU’s joint commitment to lasting peace, regional dialogue, and a safe environment for all communities in Kosovo.”

The meeting comes amid heightened tensions and ongoing discussions around the role of the Special Court and broader regional stability.

Yesterday, Envoy Sorensen also met separately with President Vjosa Osmani and Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti as part of his continued diplomatic efforts in the region.
