EU spokesperson Anitta Hipper announced during a press conference that the European Union’s High Representative, Kaja Kallas, is expected to meet with the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia tomorrow.
When asked whether this meeting is part of the EU-mediated dialogue between the two countries, Hipper denied such a connection, stating:
“This is not a meeting within the framework of the dialogue.”
Tomorrow, the leaders of six Western Balkan countries are expected to gather in Brussels. They will also hold a meeting with European Council President Antonio Costa. However, it remains unclear at what level these countries will be represented.
So far, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has confirmed his participation, stating during a press conference that Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti will also be present in the European capital. However, Kosovo’s government has not yet issued an official announcement regarding its participation.
