The Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, has commented on the warm welcome extended to European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen upon her arrival at Prishtina airport.

Orav stated that Von der Leyen’s visit presents an excellent opportunity to discuss Kosovo’s European path and its route towards the EU’s €6 billion Growth Plan. He noted that Kosovo is expected to receive approximately €880 million.

“This is a great opportunity to discuss Kosovo’s journey towards the EU and the EU’s Growth Plan of €6 billion, with Kosovo expected to receive over €880 million,” Orav wrote.

The European Commission has consistently indicated that, in addition to general conditions for benefiting from the millions allocated under the Growth Plan, there are also specific conditions related to dialogue and the implementation of agreements. The fulfillment of these conditions will also be assessed by the EU’s External Action Service.
