Kosovo has benefited over 22 million euros from the EU and KfW Guarantee Fund for the Western Balkans in support of the resilience of entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), ranking as the state with the highest gain in the region.
This was announced by the EU Office in Pristina, which also shared photos from the signing ceremony of the agreement.
“The goal of this initiative is to enable the scaling up of investments in areas that directly contribute to sustainable socio-economic development and regional integration, particularly by increasing the region’s competitiveness and job creation,” said the publication by the EU Office.
They congratulated the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund for, as they stated, joining this vital effort.
“Congratulations to the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund for joining us in this vital effort by signing the 22.1 million euro agreement! Your role in distributing these credit guarantee funds is essential for the growth of Kosovo’s economy,” the statement continued.
This initiative is co-financed by the European Union and the German government through the KfW Development Bank.
