EU–Western Balkans Summit: Albanian PM Rama Meets with Costa and Kallas

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting today with European Council President Antonio Costa on the sidelines of the EU–Western Balkans Summit, attended by leaders from the Western Balkans and top EU representatives.

The Albanian Prime Minister will participate in the plenary session titled “Deepening Cooperation and Advancing Gradual Integration,” which includes discussions on “Roam Like at Home” and the Western Balkans Growth Plan, chaired by European Council President Antonio Costa, according to Tch via KosovaPress.

The meeting also included European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas, and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

The summit aims to emphasize the importance of political and economic relations between the EU and Western Balkan partners, particularly in the current geopolitical context, and highlights the need for stronger links between the EU and the Western Balkans.

Continuing his agenda in Brussels, Prime Minister Rama also met with Kaja Kallas as part of the summit discussions.

A final declaration from the EU–Western Balkans Summit is expected to be published at the conclusion of the event.
