The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is set to embark on a tour of six Western Balkan countries, with a focus on the region’s integration into the European Union.
On Saturday, October 26, she will be in Kosovo, as indicated in the calendar published on the EC’s official website.
During her visit, she will meet with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Her first stop will be in Albania, where she is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday.
The senior EU official will have her first meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama, followed by a keynote speech at the European College of Tirana, and later a discussion with President Bajram Begaj.
Von der Leyen will continue her tour in North Macedonia, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro.
