European leaders have voiced concerns over the US-Russia peace plan, stating that it requires “further work” before moving forward.
A joint statement highlighted worries regarding the proposed limitations on the Ukrainian military, which could leave the country vulnerable to attacks. The leaders also emphasized that Ukraine’s borders must not be altered.
Additionally, elements of the plan involving the EU and NATO will require their approval. European leaders confirmed that they will coordinate closely with Ukraine and the United States in the coming days to address these issues.
