European Leaders to Convene in Tirana for the 6th European Political Community Summit

Albania will become the center of European diplomacy on May 16, as 47 leaders from across the continent gather for the 6th European Political Community Summit in Tirana. The summit will be held in Sheshi Skënderbej, the heart of the capital.

The event, organized by European Council President António Costa and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, is set to bring together top European officials to discuss key issues facing the continent. The theme of the summit will be “A New Europe in a New World: Unity – Cooperation – Joint Action.”

Alongside President Costa, the European Union will be represented by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas.

The summit will feature opening and closing plenary sessions, parallel thematic roundtable discussions, and bilateral meetings between leaders.

The gathering is expected to focus on fostering unity and cooperation across Europe, as well as shaping the EU’s future direction in a rapidly changing world.
