The Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) has reported that this is the third week that its forensic teams are participating in excavations at the Kozhle site near Novi Pazar. According to witness information, human skeletal remains of Albanians killed during the Kosovo war are suspected at this location.

The IML statement notes that so far, five mass graves have been identified in Serbia, from which the remains of 950 Albanians killed during the war have been exhumed.

“The work and search continue today and will not stop until the fate and location of every person forcibly disappeared during the war are known,” the statement reads.

Forensic experts from the IML, in cooperation with EULEX experts and other supporting organizations, remain committed, under their legal mandate, to contribute to uncovering the fate of the missing persons.
