The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has responded to media speculation regarding the selection process for fans eligible to buy tickets for the Albania–Serbia match, scheduled for June 7 at the “Air Albania” stadium, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

In a statement released moments ago, the FSHF emphasized that there will be no categorization in the automatic draw, and all fans, without distinction, will have an equal opportunity to apply for tickets.

This response comes after reports in some media outlets claiming that the purpose of the new ticketing system was to exclude fans from Kosovo. However, the FSHF has categorically denied this, labeling the claims as false and abusive.

Full statement from FSHF:

Media statement from the Albanian Football Federation regarding the ticket sales process for the Albania–Serbia match.

The Football Federation would like to categorically deny a recent report published by an online media outlet based in Switzerland, which falsely and baselessly claims that Albanian fans from Kosovo are being excluded from the Albania–Serbia match on June 7 at the “Air Albania” stadium.

This information is completely false and abusive. The FSHF has sent an official communication to the media outlet in question and is awaiting a formal response.

We clarify that the ticket sales process for the Albania–Serbia match will be conducted through a transparent system open to all fans, without any discrimination or exclusion.

Applications for tickets will begin on May 15 via an electronic form that will be published on the official FSHF website. The application period will last two weeks, and at the end of May, a computerized draw will be held to select the fans who will be eligible to purchase tickets. Selected applicants will be notified by email.

FSHF remains committed to the dignified organization of the match and invites all Albanian fans, wherever they are, to follow official communications with confidence and not fall prey to fake news.
