The Serbian civic movement “Kreni-Promeni,” led by Savo Manojlović, has published what it calls an “exclusive audio recording” allegedly showing how the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) pressures public sector employees to join the party and attend its political rallies.

In a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Kreni-Promeni claimed the recording proves systematic coercion and blackmail within Serbia’s public administration.

Nemanja Lečić, director of the Agency for Agrarian Payments at the Ministry of Agriculture, explains to employees why their contracts were not renewed and why they were dismissed,” the post reads.

According to the movement, on November 3, several Ministry of Agriculture employees were fired after refusing to attend an SNS-organized rally in Novi Sad, which allegedly served as a counter-event to a student-organized commemoration held on November 1.

“We continue to receive reports from public employees who say SNS officials are threatening to terminate their contracts unless they participate in party gatherings,” Kreni-Promeni stated. “We urge citizens to keep sending us their reports at [email protected].”

The group also released the audio recording, in which a male voice is heard discussing “rallies,” followed by a distressed female voice referencing “seven years of service.” Another woman can be heard saying, “Nemanja, you’re responsible for us,” while the male voice insists that all employment contracts must be approved by the minister or his deputy, claiming he “cannot issue decisions otherwise.”

The allegations come amid growing public concern over political pressure and abuse of power within Serbia’s state institutions, particularly ahead of potential elections.
