Extensive Damage, Four Cows, Two Cars, and One Tractor Destroyed, Loss Exceeds €100,000.
A devastating incident occurred early this morning in the village of Lower Abri, in the municipality of Drenas, where a massive fire broke out on a private property, causing extensive material damage, reports Rks News.
At around 4:30 AM, the victim and complainant, V.B., reported via phone that a barn containing livestock feed had caught fire. Police patrol units and the fire brigade quickly responded and managed to contain the fire, but the damage was already severe.
According to her testimony and on-site findings, the following were destroyed in the blaze:
- The barn with stored feed
- A stable
- The family house and garages
- Four cows
- Two vehicles
- One tractor and various farming equipment
Fortunately, the family members who were in the house managed to escape in time and no injuries were reported.
Regional investigative units, along with an electrical expert and a fire expert, arrived at the scene. As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified.
The complainant estimated the total damage at approximately €100,000.
By order of the State Prosecutor, the case has been officially opened as “Causing General Danger”, and investigations are ongoing.
