An incident of property destruction or damage has been reported in the area of the Iber-Lepenac canal in Zubin Potok, where ongoing infrastructure works suffered significant material damage caused by unknown individuals.
The event was reported on November 25, 2025, around 12:00 PM, when the manager of the company “Famico HC SHA” informed authorities that a section of PVC foil (tarpaulin) installed in a temporary bypass channel created for construction purposes had been damaged with a heavy object.
According to the complainant, the company is conducting works in the main canal, which required creating a temporary diversion of water flow, covered with PVC foil to ensure the normal functioning of the canal. It is suspected that this section was deliberately destroyed, endangering the technical construction process.
The estimated damage, according to the company manager, is between 3,000 and 4,000 euros.
Investigation and forensic units have arrived at the scene to collect material evidence, while the State Prosecutor has ordered the initiation of a case under the criminal offense of “Destruction or Damage to Property.”
The case remains under investigation, aiming to identify the perpetrators and fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
