A tragic event has shaken the city of Mitrovica today.
Sinjali has learned that the person suspected to have jumped from the bridge into Lake Ujman and has not surfaced is Rrahim Latifi, a 33-year-old from the village of Cerajë in Mitrovica.
The deceased was living abroad in Sweden and had returned to Kosovo for vacation.
According to initial information, Latifi was seen jumping from the bridge, and after that tragic act, no trace of him has been seen.
Emergency teams, police units, and the search and rescue unit equipped with boats have arrived at the scene and are continuing efforts to locate the body.
So far, the reasons that may have led him to this fatal act remain unknown.
