The Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo has detained an individual today on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “War Crimes against the Civilian Population,” as sanctioned under the former Yugoslavia Penal Code. Exclusive information obtained by RKS reveals that the arrested person is Srdjan Lazovic, approximately 48 years old.
The preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspect during the war in Kosovo, against the civilian population in the village of Panorc in the Municipality of Malisheva, committed war crimes.
By order of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect is under a 48-hour detention measure and within the legal deadline will be brought before the Preliminary Hearing Judge for further proceedings.
