An investigation launched by the Kosovo Police regarding a case in April of this year has led to the arrest of a suspect involved in illegal activities, specifically the planning of a murder, false representation as an official, and fraud.
The suspect is a Serbian national, who was arrested after an operation conducted on Thursday in Fushë Kosovë.
Sinjali has exclusively learned that the arrested individual is Remzija Bejic, around 53 years old, who is now under police detention.
According to sources, the suspect has been presenting himself as a high-ranking official of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) to several citizens since April, in order to gain illegal benefits.
Based on the case file, Bejic is also suspected of planning the murder of a Kosovo woman, claiming that she was allegedly working against the country’s interests and needed to be killed.
In addition to these two criminal offenses, he is also charged with the crime of ‘Fraud,’ which he allegedly committed through illegal transactions in property sales in Montenegro.
Following investigative actions by the Police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor and KIA, the suspect was identified and arrested yesterday.
During the operation to arrest him, a raid was also conducted at the suspect’s residence, where the Kosovo Police managed to find and seize various pieces of material evidence, including documents.
The Prosecutor has ordered a police detention measure and further investigative actions to be taken within the legal timeframe.
