Explosion at Private College in Prishtina, Rector Responds: One Person Slightly Injured, Situation Under Control

An explosion occurred today at the “Heimerer” private college in Prishtina.

The college has issued a statement regarding the incident. The rector of the college, Naime Brajshori, confirmed that, in order to prevent panic and misinformation, the situation is completely under control and there is no need for concern.

According to Brajshori, the explosion took place in the heating system’s base, located in the college’s courtyard, outside the building.

“During this process, a worker from the contracted service company sustained light injuries. Fortunately, he is well and is receiving the necessary care,” said Brajshori.

She further clarified that there were no other injuries, and appropriate measures have been taken to ensure that such an incident does not happen again.

Brajshori added that she visited the injured person after the incident and confirmed that his health condition is stable. He sustained injuries to his left hand.

The police also confirmed that one person was injured.

“Today, around 16:30, we received information about an explosion in a building on Kadri Zeka Street in Prishtina. As a result of the explosion, one person was injured and was taken for medical treatment,” said a police spokesperson.

The police, in coordination with the prosecutor’s office, are taking the necessary actions regarding the incident.
