Iran has reportedly launched six missiles toward U.S. bases in Qatar, an Israeli official told Axios, as reported by Reuters.
Earlier, Qatar temporarily suspended air traffic in its airspace. In a post on social media, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this was part of a series of precautionary measures being taken in response to escalating regional developments.
Qatar hosts the largest American military base in the Middle East — Al Udeid Air Base — which is home to approximately 8,000 American citizens, according to the U.S. State Department.
