An extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly has started, marking the first meeting following the constitution of the 10th legislature.
The agenda includes three main items:
- Budget extensions for the month of March,
- Formation of parliamentary committees, and
- A draft resolution concerning the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and the Office of the Specialist Prosecutor in The Hague, expected to be approved in defense of former KLA leaders.
Ahead of the session, 18 new Members of Parliament took their oaths, replacing those appointed to the new government cabinet. This step is part of the standard parliamentary process, ensuring the full participation of lawmakers in upcoming sessions and decisions during this period.
This session represents the first official work of the 10th legislature, signaling the continuation of legislative functions and the active role of the Kosovo Assembly under the new government.
