The former President of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu, has expressed his condolences to Hashim Thaçi for the passing of his father. Sejdiu praised Thaçi as a person deeply devoted to his parents and family.
“Through this message, I want to extend my condolences to former President Hashim Thaçi and the Thaçi family for the loss of your loved one, Haxhi Thaçi, after a long battle with a serious illness.
I worked closely with President Thaçi during the preparations for the declaration of independence, and I observed that I was dealing with a person who was deeply devoted to his parents and family.
Like many Albanian parents in Kosovo, life was not easy for Haxhi Thaçi. I hope that your beloved one finds the rest he deserves and that the Thaçi family finds the strength to overcome this grief,” Sejdiu wrote in his condolence message.
