The Basic Court of Pristina has extended the pre-trial detention of Fatmir Sheholli for an additional two months, as he faces charges of espionage.

The news was confirmed to Express by the court’s spokesperson, Mirlinda Gashi.

Gashi stated that Sheholli’s detention was extended following a request from the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK).

“The preliminary procedure judge, after reviewing the request, approved the SPRK’s motion through the Decision dated 09.03.2026, thereby extending the pre-trial detention of the individual for a period of two (2) months,” Gashi said.

This measure will remain in effect until May 8, 2026.

Sheholli was arrested in 2025 under suspicion of committing the criminal offense of espionage.
