The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has successfully prevented a suspected terrorist attack that was allegedly planned to take place during Halloween festivities in the United States.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced the news on platform X, confirming that several suspects were arrested in Michigan for allegedly organizing the planned attack.
“This morning, the FBI prevented a possible terrorist attack and arrested several individuals in Michigan who were suspected of planning a violent act during the Halloween weekend. Further details will be made public soon,” Patel stated.
He also thanked federal agents and law enforcement officers for their ongoing efforts to protect national security.
“Thank you to the FBI agents and all law enforcement personnel who work 24/7 to safeguard our nation,” added the U.S. official.
American authorities are expected to release more details in the coming hours regarding the nature of the plot and the identities of those arrested.
