The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the statue of the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair.
Krasniqi, through a post on the social network Facebook, said that Blair’s fearless leadership and unwavering support for the liberation of Kosovo has been honored.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair visited Kosovo for the third time after the end of the war. He was the key man who set in motion the NATO intervention against the Milosevic regime in 1999.
25 years after the intervention of NATO, Blair said that he was convinced that it was the right decision and that today they should stand even more by the people of Kosovo.
“I was convinced that it was the right thing to do and I continue to have this conviction, now I am convinced that we should stand by the people of Kosovo. Positive things are happening here that are a lesson for all the people of Kosovo. I look forward to seeing the day when Kosovo takes its rightful place in the family of nations”, said Blair in the joint conference with President Osmani.
