The International Federation of Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have officially confirmed that the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) has implemented statutory changes fully in line with their principles and recommendations, as well as with Kosovo’s Law on Sports and requirements from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS).

In a joint letter addressed to FFK President Agim Ademi, FIFA and UEFA praised the amendments as the outcome of a comprehensive and coordinated consultation process involving the federations and relevant authorities.

The letter emphasized that FIFA and UEFA representatives attended all FFK assemblies where these changes were approved, ensuring that governance standards were respected. The international bodies also stressed the importance of institutional independence and called for the upcoming FFK electoral process to proceed without undue interference from third parties.

FIFA and UEFA further noted that governance and membership matters remain the exclusive competence of FFK’s statutory organs. Representatives from both organizations will attend the FFK Electoral Assembly on February 5, 2026, to observe and ensure that the election is conducted in accordance with FFK’s statutes.
