The European Union will hold its fifth intergovernmental conference with Albania tomorrow, marking another significant step in the country’s EU integration journey.

This conference will focus on the opening of negotiations for Cluster 3, which covers competitiveness and inclusive growth.

Cluster 3 includes eight key policy chapters related to:

Digital transformation and media

Economic and monetary policy

Science and research

Education and culture

The Albanian delegation will be led by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani.

So far, in just eight months, negotiations have been opened for 27 policy chapters. The fourth intergovernmental conference, held on April 14 in Luxembourg, opened the cluster on the internal market, according to Euronews Albania.

Albania aims to open all remaining clusters by the end of 2025 and conclude negotiations by 2027, with full EU membership targeted for 2030.
