Amendment of Decision No. 18/208 from June 13, 2024: This decision concerns the implementation of international sanctions by the Republic of Kosovo in relation to its international obligations against individuals and entities linked to or responsible for actions that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine. In line with decisions of the European Union Council, sanctions are recommended against those responsible for actions that threaten Ukraine’s sovereignty.
Approval of a preliminary decision for expropriation for public interest concerning real estate for the construction of the Customs Terminal in Merdare. Customs terminals will continue to be returned to the state, benefiting everyone.
Approval of changes to the rules of origin as per the decisions of the Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Convention on Rules of Origin. These proposed changes are a strategic opportunity to expand exports, improve the competitiveness of local industries, and attract new investments. They also strengthen regional economic integration and help create sustainable supply chains.
Approval to request from the President of the Republic of Kosovo authorization for the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Kingdom of Norway, and the Swiss Confederation, representing the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). Signing this agreement is an important step for advancing economic and trade relations between the Republic of Kosovo and EFTA member states. This agreement will benefit local companies by providing them with easier access to the EFTA markets.
Approval of the Integrated Waste Management Strategy for the Republic of Kosovo (2024-2035) and the Action Plan for 2024-2026: The strategy aims to achieve 50% recycling of waste by 2035 and to reduce landfill disposal to below 10% by 2045. This strategy will transform waste management from landfilling to recycling and reuse, thereby creating jobs, preserving the environment, and supporting the sustainable development of the country.
