The judicial process against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army has entered its final phase at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

Today, the court will hear the closing statements, including final remarks from the victims’ representative, defence rebuttals, and concluding declarations from the four accused: Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.

The four defendants face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, linked to the 1998–1999 conflict in Kosovo. The Specialist Prosecutor’s Office has accused them of involvement in a “joint criminal enterprise.” However, all four have rejected the allegations and pleaded not guilty.

The closing session is also expected to be attended by Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Glauk Konjufca.
